Check-In, Check-Out, and Use of Property

Guests are welcome to arrive between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm for Check-in. If you anticipate arriving later than 10:00 pm, please let us know in advance.

Departure and Check-out by 11:00 am.

The property is available for guests to use between 3:00 pm on their arrival date and 11:00 am on their departure date. If you have leisure time available outside of these hours, ask us for suggestions for activities around the region to enjoy on your way here or on your way home (or consider adding another night!).

Reservations and Payment

Reservations may be made by phone or online here. Your Visa or Mastercard card number will hold your reservation and will be required for an imprint at check-in. Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard or Cash. If you don’t have a credit card, please call to make arrangements to pay in advance via online banking.

All rates on this website are in Canadian dollars and do not include applicable taxes. Posted rates are subject to change at any time without notice. Rates are guaranteed at time of confirmed reservation.


If canceling with 7 days notice or more, an administrative fee of $25 per room is charged. If canceling with less than 7 days notice, 50% of the booking amount is charged. For same-day cancellations or no-shows, 100% of the first night is charged plus 50% of the remainder of the booking.

For Group Bookings: If canceling with 14 days notice or more, an administrative fee of $25 is charged for each cancelled room. If canceling with less than 14 days notice, 50% of the booking amount is charged for each cancelled room. If canceling with 2 days notice or less, 100% of the booking amount is charged for each cancelled room. If canceling a portion of the rooms, the remaining rooms will not receive the Group Booking Discount and will not have exclusive use of the property.

One-night Stays, Minimum Stays, and Room Choice

We welcome one-night stays midweek and during most Quiet Season weekends. Two- or three-night minimum stays may be in effect during High Season weekends, long weekends and holidays. We try to accommodate guests in their first choice of room, however, with one-night stays we may assign guests to any available room without advance notice. For two-night or longer stays, we may interchange the Green and Carriage rooms (similar layout, location and bathroom amenities) without notice to work around multiple bookings.


Each room can accommodate a maximum of two people. The inn is not suitable for young children or infants.


The property is largely smoke-free. Smoking is not allowed anywhere indoors, near doors or windows, at outdoor seating areas, nor on the decks or trails. Smoking is permitted in the parking lot; a receptacle is provided for butts. A $250 cleaning charge will be applied to the bill of any guest failing to respect our smoking policy.


We love animals! Dogs are welcome in select rooms and at certain times of year and must be accompanied by responsible owners. We also love people! Which is why you must agree to and respect the following policies when bringing your dog here.

Maximum one dog per room. Adult dogs only (minimum 1 year old). Additional charge of $25 per visit applies.

Dogs are welcome during moderate seasons only. Guest dogs are generally not accepted for stays in Summer or Winter due to extremes in temperature. Call to discuss before requesting to bring a dog during these times.

Upon arrival, leave your dog in your car while you come in to register. This allows us to make sure our own dog is inside and let you know about any other animals or special circumstances before bringing your dog out.

Your dog must be able to wait in your car when necessary. Your dog may not be left unattended in your room at any time and may not be left anywhere on the inn property while you are off-site. During breakfast or other meals, have your dog wait in your car while you eat. In appropriate weather, you may be able to tie your dog outside if it won’t disturb other guests.

Only dogs who are not aggressive with people or with other animals are welcome. Guest dogs must have current shots and vaccinations. You must maintain control of your dog, especially when in the company of other people and animals.

For the health and enjoyment of other guests, you must pick up after your dog on lawns and trails (plastic bags are provided). Pets are not allowed on furniture. Towels are provided to rub down your dog before bringing it indoors.

By bringing an animal, you agree to accept 100% financial responsibility for all damages, mess, additional cleaning and loss of income due to same, and/or injuries caused by any pet or animal you bring to to the premises.

Privacy Policy

Fern Glen Inn Bed & Breakfast recognizes the importance of maintaining the security of personal information which may be collected about our guests, prospective guests, and visitors to our website.

Any information collected will be for the purpose of: communicating with guests or potential guests; ensuring a guest’s stay with us will be as enjoyable as possible; billing and sales; and/or to better understand our general market in order to best meet their needs.

No information will be disclosed to a third party without consent, unless we are required to do so by operation of law or in connection with legal proceedings. We will take all reasonable steps to keep personal information secure against unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to amend our Privacy Policy and will provide notice of changes by posting it on our website at the earliest opportunity.
