COVID-19 Policy

Please see below an outline of what we’re doing to safeguard the health and safety of our guests and our community and what role you’ll play as a guest.

Cancellations

If your reservation must be cancelled due to public health shutdowns, or if your hosts are required to quarantine, no cancellation fee will apply and we will do our best to suggest other alternatives if appropriate. Otherwise our regular Cancellation Policy applies.

Check-in

Check-in is from 3pm to 10pm; Check-out by 11am

Guests have access to the property from 3pm on day of arrival until 11am on day of departure. As we need this time to properly prepare for guests, we are unable to accommodate late departures or early arrivals. Guests failing to respect our check-in/check-out times may be charged a fee up to the cost of a one-night stay.

Guest Rooms

We have always followed rigorous cleaning practices and continue to do so. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned between guests and any room restocking during your stay, if needed, will be done in a contactless way.

Breakfast

Breakfast is offered in one of two locations:

1. In the dining room, up to six people at a time, or more if they are in one group
2. Delivered to the room door; this is a smaller, simpler breakfast than a seated served breakfast

We will schedule a time and location for breakfast when you check in. Due to limited seating you may not always have your first choice of seating time available, and if necessary to accommodate multiple seating times, each breakfast time slot may be limited in duration.

As always, be sure to let us know about any dietary restrictions well in advance and we’ll do our best to meet them.

The Coop Guest Lounge

This common room is open and available for all guests. The Coop space includes a sitting area with wood-burning stove, small dining table, fridge, microwave, books and games shelves, and snowshoes to use on our 120-acre property.

Hot Tub

The hot tub is closed in the winter.

Standard Policies

Just a reminder that these standard policies remain in place:

• Smoking is permitted only in the Parking Lot
• Maximum two people per room
• Guest dogs, cats or other pets are not accepted (ask about local kennels/catteries for your pooch or kitty)
• There are no cooking facilities for guests to use other than a microwave to reheat prepared foods. Outdoor cooking is not allowed in order to avoid animals becoming a problem (the exception is toasting marshmallows over the fire!). Please do not eat strong-smelling food in your room.

These policies may change as more information becomes available or public health guidelines evolve.

What Else Can You Do To Help?

Our biggest ask: please be patient with us, your hosts, and anyone else you interact with during your getaway. The past 3 years have been strange times and we are all doing our best to navigate through it.

Please communicate with us. If you have questions or concerns before making your reservation or while you are here, or if there is anything you need that seems to be missing, please let us know in a timely manner while we’re able to offer answers or solutions.

Please respect our policies, even if you don’t fully understand or agree with them. We’re making decisions based on current guidelines and are prioritizing the well-being of our guests, our community and ourselves. If you cannot in good faith agree to follow our policies, kindly let us help you find another place to stay.

Lastly, it is our sincere hope that you enjoy your visit with us and that your time at Fern Glen Inn leaves you refreshed and replenished in body, mind and spirit.
