Paddle at your own Pace

Whether you’re a beginner or experienced paddler, there’s a self-guided canoe day trip for your level of skill and interest. After your paddling adventure, end your day back at the inn, relaxing by a fire under the stars.

Option A: Paddle to Ragged Falls
For light adventure and an exciting destination, canoe from Oxtongue Lake up a flatwater river to the base of Ragged Falls. Pull your canoe out and hike up to the top of the falls for a spectacular view before returning to the start.

Option B: Town & Beach Paddle
For an easy paddle in the heart of cottage country, start from the Huntsville town docks and ply your way along the Muskoka River to Avery Beach or to check out the floating boardwalk in Hunter’s Bay. Stop for a swim before returning to the docks.

WITH BOTH OPTIONS:
On the full day of your two-night getaway, you’ll drive yourself to the outfitters to exchange your voucher for one day rental canoe, single kayak or stand-up paddle board. No need to put the canoe on your car as both locations have direct access to the water. Reservations not taken; first-come, first-served. You’ll also get an insulated stainless steel water bottle to keep you hydrated (yours to keep), plus two handmade trail-mix energy bars for a mid-paddle snack.

Group / Exclusive Use

Book the whole inn for just yourselves and get exclusive and full use of the guest facilities — no need to share space with any other guests!

You and your group will enjoy 120 acres of forest and trails, full use of the guest lounge with a real wood-burning stove, firepit and other outdoor seating areas, comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfasts every morning and help planning your activities and adventures.

Relax and reconnect here at the inn, hike the trails, get up a game of bocci ball on the lawn, toast marshmallows under a starry sky. Feeling ambitious and want to explore a little further afield? Head out and explore Algonquin or Arrowhead Park, spend a lazy afternoon at a free local beach or river, hit some of the shops and eateries in Huntsville and the surrounding area.

How to Book your Exclusive Use Getaway
Make a reservation via our online booking form by clicking any of the “Check Availability or Book Online” links throughout our website. When booking, don’t select a specific room, instead select one of the Exclusive Use options displayed. If no Exclusive Use option is displayed, it means we already have individual rooms booked for those dates and you will be sharing the common areas with other guests at that time.
