Snowshoe Explorer – Algonquin, Arrowhead and Beyond

Perfect for those who want to head out for a day exploring the parks and trails around the region.

Experience the exhilaration of winter with a self-guided snowshoeing adventure around Muskoka and Almaguin Highlands.

On one full day of your getaway, you’ll get use of snowshoes to take off-site for the day, boot and mitt warmers, plus an insulated bottle (yours to keep!) filled with a hot beverage to keep you toasty while you’re out exploring.

Arrowhead or Algonquin Park:  Check out the famous Ice Trail, groomed cross-country ski trails, and snowshoe trails at Arrowhead Park; or explore the extensive trails and interpretive programs at Algonquin Park. Admission to either park is $21 per vehicle and can be purchased online from Ontario Parks up to five days in advance.

Don’t plan to go to a provincial park? Head over to the free trails at Limberlost Forest Reserve, take a short snowshoe hike at local gem Brook’s Falls, or snowshoe through the artscape at Screaming Heads.

Winter highlights back at the inn include old-fashioned tobogganing, snowshoeing our private 120-acre forest, and winter stargazing. Bring your camera to capture the memories of a winter wonderland just outside your door.

Snowshoe Explorer Package Includes:

• Boot and mitt warmers, single-use disposable “Little Hotties” (one set per person)
• 16oz double-walled stainless steel bottle filled with hot chocolate, tea or coffee (one per couple)

Exclusive Use Group Getaway

Book the whole inn for just yourselves and get exclusive use of the guest facilities — no need to share space with any other guests!

You and your group will enjoy 120 acres of forest and trails, use of the guest lounge with a real wood-burning stove, comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfasts every morning and help planning your activities and adventures.

Snowshoe private trails, toboggan down a hill, make a snowman, bring your favourite snacks and beverages, spread out in the Coop guest lounge, play games in front of the fire and enjoy good times in good company. Snowshoes are provided free for guests to use on our property. Feeling ambitious and want to explore a little further afield? Head out and skate through the woods on the ice trail or glide along the cross country ski trails in nearby Arrowhead Park or snowshoe the Limberlost Forest trails (off-site excursions and equipment are not included in the price but ask us for suggestions).
